PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT – The Planning Commission reviewed the revised
plans for the Aaron Smucker Land Development/Solar project. They also reviewed a request for
a second driveway for Mike and Tammy Toomey.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Road Status Report – The Board decided to move forward with the work on Jarrett Road. We
received a quote from TRA Electric to replace the sensor loop on Seven Points Road, need to
make a motion to agree to it and sign the form and return it. The cost to repair it is $2,915.00.
Syler made a motion to accept the quote to replace the sensor loop. Julie seconded the motion.
Motion passed without opposition. The crew maintained the township equipment, assisted
Shamokin Township with a project and removed a few downed trees from recent windstorms.
The Board also discussed the idea of purchasing a portable radar speed for improved road safety
at the intersection of Routes S.R. 890, Brush Valley Road and Seven Points Road. Attorney
Greco questioned the type we would buy. There was some discussion. It was decided that Julie
should contact the insurance company to make sure we could get insurance for it, the cost and
report back to the Board.

Zoning Investigations -Julie received a phone call from a resident on Overlook Drive that
stated Mr. Tegge is not doing anything to remove the vehicles. Julie reminded them that Mr.
Tegge has until mid-April to complete the work. The one violation has a deadline of April 16th
and the other a deadline of April 18th. If it is not cleaned up he will be taken to the magistrate.
Mr. Tegge was in the audience and asked if the phone call she received was recent? She stated
that she had been contacted the prior Wednesday. Mr. Tegge said that they have removed four of
the vehicles. Colin just reminded him that time is of the essence and his deadlines are fast
approaching. Atty. Greco is also working on an ordinance for the usage of Drone’s.

Government Funds -There was discussion as to whether these funds should be removed and the
account closed since we have used all the Government funds received and the only thing in the
account is interest accrued. Atty. Greco stated he would leave it where it is and that it shouldn’t
be moved until after the government allows the township to close out their report. Colin stated
that he saw Julie had left them a message that she successfully submitted the lates report (due by
April 30, 2025). Skyler made a motion that we use General Funds to purchase a new computer
for when Stephanie begins. Colin seconded the motion. Motion passed without opposition.

Tyler Karycki/Bill Yost – Property Issue – Nothing more at this time.

Hazen Road Turn around – Mark Hassinger – The turn around has been completed. This can
be taken off the agenda.

Solar Farm – The planning Commission looked at the Smucker Land Development and found
some issues with it. They were sent to Sally Burget from Burget & Associates. There was some
discussion about the meaning of security fencing. The Board and Atty. Greco are going to look
into it and further discuss the matter. The zoning ordinance may need to be reviewed. Mike
Brinkash and Ed Wenger found the revised plans were lacking in the necessary information. The
Board discussed the De-Commissioning Statement but Atty. Greco stated it needed to be it’s
own line item so would have to wait until the next meeting.

Jarrett Road and Conrad Road – The Board is moving forward with these projects. The
funding for the Conrad Road project was approved by the Dirt and Gravel Road grant program.
Julie stated they received ½ of the grant amount. The Jarrett Road project will be done around
the same time though the funding for that will come directly from the Township.

Clemens Road Bridge – Nothing new.

Emergency Management Coordinator – Julie received a signed notification from Clint Herr
that Russ Chamberlain has been approved by the County as our EMC. However, we are still
waiting to receive notice from the Governor.

They vaccinated 65 animals and received several donations. They thanked the Board for
allowing them to use the building and issued a special thank you to Austin for opening and
closing the building for them.
Retaining wall at bridge on Hallowing Run Road – Julie stated that she had spoken with the
property owner and he was going to reach out to the Little Shamokin Creek Watershed Authority
and she has not heard from him as to if they are able to assist him.

NEW BUSINESS

seconded the motion. Motion passed without opposition.

Other New Business – Skyler stated that Stover Electric who sold us the Generator for the
township asked if we are interested in a service contract that would cost $195.00 annually. He
stated they would clean it, replace anything necessary and assure it’s continued life. There was
some discussion. Skyler made a motion that we get the service. Colin seconded it. Julie asked
Skyler if there is going to be a bill and contract sent to her? He said he would look into it and get
back to her.

Residents Comments – Resident Paula Greco suggested the Board specify fencing in their Solar
ordinance because of questions that came from the Planning Commission on Monday night,
April 7, 2025. The Board discussed the matter with the Attorney and it was decided that Colin
and Atty. Greco would do more research regarding the matter. George Herrold asked Julie if the
