Nothing

PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT
The Planning Commission met and reviewed plans for Bowen Development for Brad Zeigler as
well as plans for the Smucker Solar Array/Burget Associates. They stated that several things
need to be done and made their motion on approval contingent on these issues. In the meantime,
there was a question regarding the county and after a discussion with Justin Skavery, the BOS
cannot move forward with anything until the County has seen the Subdivision and Add – On for
the Smucker Plans. The question was posed do we charge them an additional fee for the
subdivision and add on? Ed stated that it depended on the size of the add-on. After reviewing the
plan, the board decided to charge for the Subdivision and add-on.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Road Status Report
The crew worked at mowing the berms and banks (they borrowed the tractor from Upper
Augusta), they have about ¾ of the township completed. When they are finished, they will be
able to start pulling ditches. They maintained the township equipment, taking three pieces to
Sunbury Motor for inspections, they mowed the township lawn and removed fallen trees.
Zoning Investigations
Julie received a lengthy call from a resident asking for assistance in stopping the resident, Robert
Tegge’s son from driving a loud vehicle on the property behind their house all hours of the day
and night. Julie explained that they should try speaking to the resident to explain their concerns
and then if that doesn’t work, they should call the PSP. Julie also reached out to the Sargent,
Brent Zechman, and left a message requesting he phone her. To date, she has not heard back
from Sargeant Zechman. Mr. Gay reported that the son driving is behind the Smucker residence
and Mr. Smucker stated that the noise is scaring their children. The board recommended that the
residents hire an attorney to represent them against the nuisance from the Tegge’s as there isn’t
anything more that the township can do.

Jospeh Candelora came into the office and showed he had in fact all necessary permits. Julie
sent copies to Ed Wenger. The NOV was rescinded. No word from Elmer King on the
greenhouses.

Government Funds
Stephanie is waiting to hear from the IT company as to where they are with building the new
computer.

Tyler Karycki/Bill Yost
Nothing new.

Solar Farm
Burget sent plans for the P.C. to review and they approved but made many contingencies. In the
meantime, the County P.C. (Justin Skavery) said they must submit the plans for the subdivision
and add-on to him. Question about what we charge. Plans will be submitted by Pivot to be
reviewed at the next P.C. meeting.

Jarrett Road
The crew continues to work on this project and the engineer is working on a DEP permit.

Clemens Road Bridge
Nothing new.

Emergency Management Coordinator
Julie spoke to Russ Chamberlain about obtaining a FEMA SID# and forwarded the website link
to him to complete. We have the police report but are still waiting for the SID number

Intersection at Wolf’s Crossroads (Rte. 890, Brush Valley and Seven Points Roads)
Julie contacted Penn DOT and was sent a Traffic Signal Maintenance agreement which will need
to be signed. Prices for a tow behind sign were anywhere from $5,000 to $8,000. Skyler stated
he would get some quotes.

Stephanie’s Bond
The bond was approved and will be effective June 30th and Julie’s bond will end on June 30th.
Resident Concern about Airport Rd. and Seven Points Intersection
Julie reached out to PennDOT regarding a resident’s request for a mirror to be placed across the
road from the intersection so anyone pulling out of Airport Road and turning left can see
oncoming traffic. At present the site distance is impeded by an old building. PennDOT stated
that they do not allow mirrors. Julie wrote to the resident and reported the findings. Is there a
way we can request the property owner remove the building??? Mr. Gay stated he spoke with
Mike Campbell and they are open to discussing building removal with the township.
