Exception Hearings.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Road Status Report – The crew finished mowing around the township for the first time this
season. They mowed the township lawn, weed wacked around guiderail, worked on maintaining
township equipment, finished the concrete bases for the generator and propane tank, and helped
Upper Augusta with a project.
Zoning Investigations – Property in the center of Seven Points owned by Mr. Price was cleaned
up; all garbage removed. Ed Wenger is asking for the go ahead from the township regarding
Floyd Long. The only way to proceed is through a civil suit. Ed Wenger would need assistance
from our Atty. Ed Greco to create the documents. Julie was directed to contact Atty. Greco
regarding this matter.
Government Funds – Julie spoke with Justin Skavery and he told her to phone a man that
worked on the forms for him, his name is Cory Johnson. Julie stated that the man did phone her
late that afternoon and he told her that the township could use the interest funds as they are not a
part of the federal reporting.
Tyler Karycki/Bill Yost – Property Issue – Nothing more.
Stormwater Management Ordinance -The Board tabled this indefinitely. The Board decided to
take this off the agenda. The discussion was that we would continue to allow the County to
handle this for the township.
Hazen Road Turn around – Mark Hassinger – Waiting for the survey from Brinkash and
Associates. Julie received a note from Mike Brinkash. The men could not find any pins and Mike
wanted to know if we wanted a full survey. He was going to check on it and get back to Julie
Solar Farm – They have requested a hearing with the Zoning Hearing Board. It is scheduled for
June 27th at 6:30 p.m.
Generator and Propane Tank – The Propane Tank has been set and the bollards were placed
around it. All concrete work is finished and a bill for it has been presented to the Board of
Supervisors for payment. Affordable Fuels connected the propane gas line to the generator. The
only thing that needs to be done is to have it wired. Julie asked the owner of Tri Edison, Dale
Klinger to provide a quote. Skyler contacted Stover’s Electric. Electric quotes received from Tri
Edison ($2,500) and Stover’s Electric ($2,219.50). Colin made a motion to give the contract to
Stover’s Electric. Julie seconded the motion. Motion passed without opposition. Skyler
abstained.
Jarrett Road – Julie sent a follow up note asking for an update. Mike responded and said he
reached out to Login at the Northumberland County Conservation District to see if he would be
willing to assist us in doing the GP 11 permit which will be needed. He had not heard from him.
He will continue to follow up.
Clemens Road Bridge – Julie wrote to Wilson Engineering last week and has not received any
response yet. She will write again if she doesn’t hear from them in the next two weeks.
Jake Brakes/Augustaville – Julie received information from PennDOT. They agree that it needs
to have signs put up and cc’d the Stonington State Police on the matter as well. The Board will
need to pass an ordinance regarding the sign placement. A sample ordinance was sent with the
letter. Julie asked if the Board wanted her to forward the information to Atty. Greco to see if he
can prepare it for the next meeting in July. Julie was directed to talk with Atty. Greco about
preparing an ordinance. The township will be responsible for purchasing and maintaining the
signs as well as installing them exactly where PennDOT has designed for them to be placed.
NEW BUSINESS
Review of and authorization to pay all bills- Skyler made a motion to pay all bills. Colin
seconded the motion. Motion passed without opposition.
Other New Business – Letter to Representative Mike Stender – Opposing HR 1976 & 2045
Julie stated she received a letter from PSATS regarding two House bills. This legislation would
force communities to accept a developer’s building scheme conforming to Harrisburg-mandated
density and they can override any local land use authority. These changes need to be made at the
local level not the State. Colin made the motion to send the letter. Skyler seconded the motion.
Motion passed without opposition.
